Allow me to reintroduce myself… My name is Celestial Goodness <3

Dear Beautiful People,

Thank you for being here. It has been a while since I wrote on my blog.

Life has been “lif-ing” in the way that it does. My own life has been full of change, of stillness, of questions, and quiet revelations. One of my favorite authors of all time, Zora Neale Hurston said, “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” I am still trying to determine if this is a year of questions, or whether it is a year of answers. Truth be told, so many things this year felt like they were trying to steal my joy, and the question I had was “why.” Sometimes things will break your heart and clear your vision—remind you that you need boundaries, remind you to treat yourself like something sacred and whole, remind you to prioritize the important things in life, one of which is definitely and certainly you. It is not selfish to return to yourself. Return to yourself as many times as you need. This is your life. Your one wild and precious life as Mary Oliver would say. The poets—the writers—they have always known, and they have always had the capacity to see beyond what is, even in the worst of times. Words–both ancient and modern have saved me time and time again.

Like many of you, I’ve been navigating a world that often feels like it’s teetering at the edge of chaos, grief, and an invisible weight that we don’t always realize we are carrying! I suspect that like me, most of us are seeking spaces and places where we can set the weight down, and where we can find clarity, peace, grace, inspiration, beauty, and gratitude. In the quiet spaces of my mind, I’ve taken time to reflect on what I truly want to offer. What is my purpose here? What is the treasure that lies within me? What do I want to gift the world? I spent a few weeks in true Sagittarian style, on a grand adventure—one that nourished and rejuvenated my spirit and my soul.

In my aunt’s English garden among the lavender, the roses, and the beautiful bees and butterflies that frequented that sacred sanctuary, I discovered that I want to keep creating spaces that feel like light.
I want to cultivate spaces where we can exhale.
I want to facilitate spaces where we remember ourselves—the parts of us that descend from stardust. The parts of us that dream and yearn and remember who we were before the world tried to beat all of that out of us.

I want us to return to sacred space. I want us to remember that we ourselves are sacred spaces. I did actually write a little book on returning to sacred space. I call it my practice book because it is short, but it is sweet. I was hesitant to share it, but some of my closest people have encouraged me to share it with the world and so I will. https://a.co/d/6cOHLhA

With all of this in mind, I’m revamping both this blog and my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSNXwE1oYbCZJ2P0DDDrWXg) —not for perfection, not for performance—but for purpose. For joy. For resilience. For love. For gratitude.

In a time when it feels like the world is burning, I want to keep choosing hope. I want to share stories, practices, tools, and reflections that uplift and nourish—things that whisper you are not alone, even on the hard days. Another writer that I love, Ehime Ora said this, “Ancestors said they experience life through your eyes. Living your life as full as you can nourishes them. You being alive is enough for them. I pray that you see life through. I pray that you let it show you just how good it can get. If you’re feeling stuck, speak to the heavens. A path to freedom will open up.” We are not alone on this great big planet whirling through the cosmos—a cosmos that is filled with endless mystery.

Here is in this space, I hope we can get in tune with the wisdom that is inherent to our heart…Whether it’s a journaling prompt, a ritual for renewal, a late-night reflection, or a heart-to-heart video on YouTube about the messy beauty of being human—this space will be an offering. I hope it will be like sitting next to a warm hearth and heart. I hope that it will be a reminder that you are also needed here at this time, and that you also have a purpose, even if it is to just be like the flowers in the garden—breathing and looking cute.

If you’re still with me, thank you. And if you’re new here, welcome.
Let’s keep rising together, even when it’s hard.

Let us keep dreaming, hoping, extending compassion and care. Let us remember that we are love and loved. May the stars shine over your life in the most beautiful of ways. Thank you!

With love,

Celestial Goodness
